Who We Are

Joyce Hemmons has twenty years of experience in Corporate Management at Xerox, AT&T and Winstar. She has held positions in Marketing Account Management, and National Service Management to the Federal Government. Ms Hemmons has been recognized for her achievements in strategic planning, new services Introduction and improvements in revenue and expense ratios. She holds a BA degree from Trinity College, has completed graduate work in Management at the George Washington University and has a Certification in Process Management from Virginia Tech.

Carolyn Ousley Williams comes from an entrepreneurial background and she knows first hand the issues that face small business owners having successfully run her own retailing business. She honed her executive and professional leadership skills working with Nonprofit organizations, implementing International Student exchange programs and planning city wide events for the Office of the Mayor. Mrs. Williams earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Howard University, and Graduate Certificates in Management from Georgetown University and Harvard University’s Center for Leadership and Evolving Vision.

Gloria Richardson Sulton is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center with a Juris Doctorate degree. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Howard University and has practiced law in the District of Columbia for over 25 years. She has first-hand experience with non-profit legal associations and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, having served in leadership positions at the national and local level. Additionally, Ms Sulton served as Chair of the Hearing Committee for the DC Board on Professional Responsibility. Most recently Ms Sulton's work has focused on standards of conduct and ethics laws applicable to federal employees.

Fern Burgin Robinson is an experienced Writer and Producer for such organizations as the National Black Women's Health Project, Institute for Health and Science, Inner Visions Worldwide Network and Black Entertainment Television. She has published numerous articles, led website development teams and coordinated workshops. She has a BA in Journalism from the University of Detroit and was a Michele Clark Fellow in Journalism at Columbia University. Ms Robinson has earned the DC Humanities Council Award.
